Alessandro Masi will lead the Middle East and Africa business for the grid software division at Siemens. He will focus on expanding the company’s presence and strengthening partnerships across key markets.

In his new role, Masi will work closely with customers and partners across the Gulf region, Pakistan, Egypt, the Levant, and Africa. His priority will be to support the development of stronger and more resilient power systems.

He will guide regional teams in delivering software solutions that improve the performance and reliability of electricity networks. These efforts aim to help utilities manage rising demand and modernize grid infrastructure.

Driving digital transformation in power networks

Masi will also focus on advancing digital technologies for energy networks. Grid software plays a key role in managing complex electricity systems and integrating renewable energy sources. By expanding these solutions, Siemens aims to support countries that are investing heavily in energy transition and grid modernization.

Masi will work with utilities, governments, and energy companies to help build smarter and more efficient power networks. These initiatives will support long-term economic development and energy security across the region.

Leadership transition in the regional business

Masi previously led the grid software business across several European markets, including Italy, Greece, Malta, and Germany. He now takes over the regional leadership role from Ralf Blumenthal, who earlier led the Middle East and Africa business.

Under Masi’s leadership, Siemens plans to deepen collaboration with regional partners while expanding its technology footprint across the energy sector.
