Veeam Software has appointed Amin Hanafieh as Sales Director for the Middle East and CIS. The move reinforces the company’s commitment to expanding its regional presence and accelerating innovation across key markets.
In addition, the appointment highlights Veeam’s continued focus on strengthening customer engagement, partner ecosystems, and enterprise data-protection capabilities in high-growth geographies.
Veteran enterprise technology leader with two decades of experience
Hanafieh brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology leadership. He also has a strong track record in building high-performing teams and delivering customer success across the Middle East, CIS, and Africa.
Before joining Veeam, he held senior leadership roles at VMware by Broadcom, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Injazat Data Systems, and Cisco. In these positions, he led regional expansion, professional services, and sales operations.
Moreover, his experience spans data-centre infrastructure, hybrid cloud, and enterprise solutions. He is also recognised for market development and partner engagement.
Most recently, he served in senior regional leadership roles at VMware. There, he oversaw professional services and country-level operations across multiple markets.
Veeam targets customer success and market expansion
At Veeam, Hanafieh will drive regional sales strategy, partner collaboration, and enterprise adoption of data-resilience solutions. His leadership is expected to support the company’s broader ambition to deepen its footprint across the Middle East and CIS.
At the same time, he will help organisations strengthen cyber resilience, cloud adoption, and data protection.

Hanafieh holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from California State University, Fresno. Over the years, he has built a career spanning regional leadership, enterprise infrastructure, and cloud transformation.
