Majid Al Futtaim, in partnership with Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, has launched ‘Ma’an’, a new initiative aimed at empowering homegrown UAE businesses. The programme aligns with Dubai’s broader push to strengthen entrepreneurship under its AED 1 billion economic incentive package.
A Strategic Push Under Dubai’s Economic Agenda
The initiative builds on Dubai’s recently approved AED 1 billion stimulus designed to ease financial pressures on businesses. Moreover, it supports the ambitions of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which focuses on accelerating economic diversification and SME growth.
By combining public and private sector strengths, Ma’an creates a structured pathway for emerging businesses to scale faster. As a result, SMEs gain access to resources that would otherwise take years to secure independently.
Direct Access to a Powerful Consumer Ecosystem
Through Ma’an, selected brands will integrate into Majid Al Futtaim’s extensive retail and entertainment network. This includes prominent destinations such as Mall of the Emirates, THAT Concept Store, VOX Cinemas, and Carrefour outlets.
Consequently, participating businesses can showcase their products to millions of consumers across high-footfall locations. In addition, this exposure enables SMEs to test, refine, and expand their offerings in real market conditions.
Marketing, Media and Loyalty Integration
Beyond physical retail access, the programme offers strong marketing support. Participating SMEs will benefit from visibility across Majid Al Futtaim’s communication channels, including digital platforms, social media, and in-mall screens.
Furthermore, brands will gain exposure to over 10 million users on the SHARE loyalty platform. This integrated approach ensures that businesses not only reach customers but also build long-term brand recall.
Strengthening Public–Private Collaboration
Ma’an highlights the growing role of collaboration between government-backed entities and private sector leaders. By connecting SMEs with established commercial platforms, the initiative enhances market access and drives sustainable growth.
At the same time, it reinforces Dubai’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and building a resilient SME ecosystem.
Eligibility and Application Details
The programme is now open to UAE-based SMEs that have operated for at least 12 months and demonstrate a strong brand proposition. However, with limited slots available, businesses are encouraged to apply early. Selected participants for the inaugural cohort will receive direct communication from the organisers.
A Platform Designed for Long-Term Impact
Unlike short-term retail activations, Ma’an focuses on sustained business growth. It enables SMEs to scale efficiently while building meaningful customer connections.
Ultimately, the initiative aims to create long-term value for entrepreneurs, strengthen local businesses, and contribute to Dubai’s evolving economic landscape.
