Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar has appointed Abdullatif Al Farsi as General Manager, making him the youngest Omani to lead a luxury resort in the Sultanate. Abdullatif Al Farsi builds career through internal leadership
Abdullatif joined Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort in 2019 as Front Office Manager before advancing to Executive Assistant Manager for Rooms, Resident Manager and Acting General Manager. His appointment follows several years of leadership focused on guest experience, operational performance and team development.
With more than 15 years of operational experience, including over seven years with Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Abdullatif combines international luxury hospitality expertise with a deep understanding of Omani culture. According to his professional profile, he has 18 years of hospitality experience leading operational excellence, financial performance and business growth across internationally recognised hotel brands.
Before joining Anantara, Abdullatif worked at Crowne Plaza Muscat, Crowne Plaza Muscat Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, Crowne Plaza Sohar and Millennium Hotels and Resorts. Throughout his career, he contributed to several hotel pre opening projects while building expertise in front office operations, property management and commercial leadership.
Anantara General Manager role supports resort leadership
As General Manager, Abdullatif will lead one of Oman’s best known luxury resorts, located 2,000 metres above sea level in the Al Hajar Mountains. The resort offers luxury accommodation alongside experiences that showcase Omani culture and local hospitality.

Prior to becoming General Manager, Abdullatif built experience across internationally recognised hospitality brands in Oman. His career includes leadership positions at Crowne Plaza Muscat, Crowne Plaza Sohar and Millennium Hotels and Resorts before joining Anantara Hotels & Resorts in 2019.
He also completed Executive Studies in Property Management at Cornell University, strengthening his strategic leadership capabilities. His professional profile highlights expertise in operations management, commercial leadership and property management, alongside a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and sustainable business performance.
