APM Terminals Bahrain has appointed Babar Ghausi as Interim Chief Financial Officer. The company announced the appointment, highlighting his contribution to the business since joining in 2021 and his role in advancing strategic priorities and financial performance.

Ghausi has served in senior finance leadership roles at APM Terminals Bahrain since joining the company. According to the company, his commercial insight and commitment to operational excellence position him to lead the finance function during the transition.

Babar Ghausi takes interim finance leadership

Since joining APM Terminals Bahrain in 2021, Ghausi has played a key role in supporting the company’s financial performance and sustainability ambitions. The company said his experience has contributed to advancing strategic priorities while strengthening the finance organisation.

According to his professional profile, Ghausi currently serves as Head of Finance at APM Terminals Bahrain. In that role, he supports the management team by developing finance forecasts, tracking performance, overseeing statutory and regulatory reporting, and managing financial compliance and risk management.

Finance experience across multiple industries

Before joining APM Terminals Bahrain, Ghausi held finance leadership positions at GSK, where he worked in financial planning, analysis, finance controls and business partnering across international markets. Earlier in his career, he held finance roles at Unilever and worked as an Audit Senior at PwC.

His professional profile describes him as a senior finance executive with experience across audit, FMCG, pharmaceuticals and logistics. It also highlights his focus on forecasting, financial controls, risk management and finance business partnering.

Supporting the finance function

As Interim Chief Financial Officer, Ghausi will lead APM Terminals Bahrain’s finance function during the transition period. The company said his knowledge of the business, together with his financial and commercial experience, will support continuity in the role.
