Technology group Beyon has appointed Rashed Mohamed as its new Group Chief Technology Officer (CTO), reinforcing its commitment to innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital transformation across its regional and international operations.
Mohamed previously served as CTO of Batelco by Beyon, where he has led the modernization of network and IT platforms since 2024. In his new role, he will oversee the technology strategy of the wider Beyon Group and drive the adoption of emerging technologies across its portfolio of businesses.

With over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, Mohamed brings extensive expertise in mobile and fixed networks, IT transformation, digital infrastructure, and enterprise technology strategy.
Throughout his career, he has led large-scale modernization projects that improved operational efficiency, accelerated innovation, and supported long-term business growth. As a result, he has built a strong reputation as one of Bahrain’s experienced technology leaders.

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Kvaalseth, Chief Executive Officer of Beyon Group, said Mohamed’s leadership would play a key role in advancing the company’s technology ambitions.
“Rashed has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep understanding of our business and markets. His experience will help accelerate Beyon’s use of AI and emerging technologies while strengthening our digital platforms, technological capabilities, and next-generation services across the Group,” Kvaalseth said.
The appointment comes as companies across the Gulf region increase investments in AI, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital services to enhance competitiveness and create new growth opportunities.

Beyon also highlighted that the appointment reflects the Board of Directors’ focus on developing and promoting Bahraini talent within the organization.
According to the company, Bahraini nationals now account for 90% of Beyon Group’s executive management team. The milestone underscores the company’s commitment to building local leadership capabilities while supporting national workforce development objectives.
