Francesco Acquaviva has been appointed head chef at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, where he will lead the hotel’s culinary programme. The appointment brings an experienced hospitality professional whose career spans luxury hotels and internationally recognised restaurants.
Acquaviva has worked alongside renowned chefs including Heston Blumenthal and Heinz Beck. According to the hotel, his culinary philosophy combines “precision and surprise”, an approach that has shaped his work in fine dining and luxury hospitality.
Francesco Acquaviva brings international culinary experience
Acquaviva’s passion for cooking began in his mother’s kitchen during childhood. His uncle, a chef and restaurant owner, also influenced his early understanding of the profession and encouraged his interest in culinary arts.
Inspired by Heinz Beck’s La Pergola restaurant in Rome, Acquaviva later joined the chef’s restaurant at Waldorf Astoria Palm Jumeirah Dubai. He began as sous chef before progressing to chef de cuisine and later junior executive chef. His professional profile also includes senior culinary positions as Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in Bangkok and head chef operational at Conrad Dubai.
Throughout his career, Acquaviva has gained experience at several internationally recognised restaurants. These include The Fat Duck under Heston Blumenthal, together with roles at Cenador de Amós, Quique Dacosta and La Pergola.

As head chef, Acquaviva will oversee the culinary programme at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. His responsibilities place him at the centre of the hotel’s food and beverage offering, where he will lead the culinary team and kitchen operations.
