Infobip has appointed Mirta Pađen Lee as Vice President of People, effective 1 October 2026. She will lead the global people function at the cloud communications company as it continues its transition towards an AI first business.

Pađen Lee will oversee people strategy, organisational development, total rewards, HR operations, leadership enablement and transformation initiatives. Her remit covers the people capabilities and organisational changes that Infobip considers necessary to support its long term growth.

Mirta Pađen Lee brings international HR leadership experience

Before joining Infobip, Pađen Lee held senior HR leadership roles at MOL Group and IKEA SEE. She led international HR and organisational transformation initiatives across multiple markets.

Her experience includes leadership development, workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and HR operations. She also holds a Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Throughout her career, Pađen Lee has participated in HR, coaching, leadership and business education programmes. Her background spans several areas of people management that fall within her new responsibilities at Infobip.

Infobip is incorporating artificial intelligence into its products, operations and internal workflows. At the same time, the company is investing in employee upskilling and organisational agility.

As the business develops its AI first approach, Infobip says employees need the skills, mindset and support to work confidently with emerging technologies. Pađen Lee’s responsibilities include supporting the organisational and cultural changes associated with this transition.

The company has identified adaptability, collaboration and continuous learning as important capabilities in an AI first environment. These priorities extend beyond technology teams to employees across business functions.

For people leaders, the appointment places responsibility for organisational development, leadership support and HR operations within a single global remit. These functions will support Infobip as its operating model evolves.

Leadership and culture during organisational transformation

Pađen Lee said global businesses must connect technological and operational change with culture, communication and leadership. She pointed to Infobip’s international footprint, which includes more than 70 offices worldwide.

“Growth, new business models, evolving technologies and the rapid development of AI are continuously reshaping the way organisations operate,” Pađen Lee said.

She added that successful transformation requires more than processes and tools. It also depends on communication and leaders who remain connected with employees throughout the change process.

Pađen Lee said she would focus on strengthening people practices and organisational capabilities as Infobip continues to develop its AI first business model.

Infobip co-founder and chief executive officer Silvio Kutić said investment in people, culture and leadership remains important as the company adopts AI. He also cited Pađen Lee’s experience in people and organisational transformation across international businesses.

Kutić said her experience would support the company’s continued growth and innovation. He also linked the appointment to Infobip’s efforts to shape its future of work.

Infobip’s global business and growth priorities

Founded in 2006, Infobip provides cloud communications services that help businesses connect with customers throughout the customer journey. Its platform supports omnichannel engagement, identity, user authentication and contact centre solutions.

The company uses AI as a driver of product and business innovation. It is also developing its internal operations as part of its transition towards an AI first model.

Infobip’s platform can reach more than seven billion mobile devices across six continents. The company reports connections to more than 10,000 networks, including over 800 direct operator connections.

The appointment comes as Infobip marks its 20th anniversary. The company has identified innovation, operational excellence and investment in people, leadership and AI capabilities as priorities for its next phase of growth.

Pađen Lee succeeds Marin Bezić, who joined Infobip in 2021 and served as Vice President of People for the past three years. Infobip credited Bezić with supporting its people and organisational development during his tenure.

For Infobip, the new appointment places global people operations at the centre of its organisational transformation. Its stated priorities include developing employee capabilities, supporting leaders and adapting workplace practices as AI becomes more integrated into business operations.
