Before joining Deliveroo, Hadjiaslanis served as General Manager of Bolt in the UAE. He led the growth of Bolt’s mobility platform through a joint venture with Dubai Taxi Company.
Earlier, Hadjiaslanis spent more than seven years at Uber. He held senior leadership, growth and operations roles across the Middle East and Africa.

Deliveroo Middle East role focuses on marketplace growth
As General Manager, Hadjiaslanis will work with DoorDash teams in the Middle East and globally. The focus will be on growth across consumers, merchants and riders.
Miki Kuusi, CEO of DoorDash International, said the Middle East remains an important region for Deliveroo. Kuusi also pointed to Hadjiaslanis’ experience in scaling consumer and marketplace businesses.
Hadjiaslanis said his priority will be to build on Deliveroo’s existing business in the region. He also said he plans to combine the local knowledge of the Middle East team with DoorDash’s global scale, technology and experience.

Hadjiaslanis said his experience as a Deliveroo user has given him a different view of the business since joining the company. He pointed to the opportunity to build on its existing position across the Middle East.
The new General Manager also said his focus will include giving consumers, merchants and riders more reasons to use Deliveroo. His remit covers the three groups that make up the company’s marketplace.
The appointment comes after Deliveroo became part of DoorDash in 2025. The acquisition brought the two businesses together while Deliveroo retained its product and brand in nine countries.
Deliveroo has operated in the Middle East since 2015
Deliveroo launched in the UAE in 2015 and Kuwait in 2019. The company has operated in the Middle East for more than a decade.
Since its launch, Deliveroo has expanded beyond restaurant delivery into grocery and retail. The company passed 100 million orders delivered in the region in 2025.
Deliveroo now operates as part of DoorDash. Together, the businesses operate in more than 40 countries, with Deliveroo’s product and brand continuing across nine of those markets.
