QNB Group has launched SME Local Business Boost, a new event series aimed at strengthening engagement across Qatar’s small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. The initiative creates industry-focused platforms where entrepreneurs, business owners, and sector stakeholders can connect, exchange ideas, and explore growth opportunities.

The inaugural event brought together SME leaders from different industries. Through the programme, QNB reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Qatar’s expanding private sector and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Supporting Qatar National Vision 2030

The initiative was launched under the theme “Powering Qatar’s Next Growth Story.” It highlighted the growing role of SMEs in Qatar’s economic diversification strategy.

As Qatar advances the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, SMEs continue to contribute to innovation, job creation, and private sector development. Therefore, strengthening this segment remains a key priority for both policymakers and financial institutions.

QNB Reinforces Commitment to Local Businesses

Speaking at the event, Ismail Mandani Al-Emadi, Executive Vice President for SME Banking at QNB Group, emphasized the importance of entrepreneurs in shaping Qatar’s future economy.

He noted that SMEs play a vital role in driving innovation and supporting sustainable economic growth. He added that QNB aims to go beyond traditional banking services by acting as a long-term strategic partner for businesses across the country.

According to Al-Emadi, initiatives such as SME Local Business Boost provide valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs to build networks, share experiences, and discuss industry challenges. As a result, QNB can better understand the evolving needs of SMEs and develop solutions that support their growth ambitions.

Focus on Digital Growth and Business Resilience

During the event, participants explored how stronger collaboration and access to expertise can help SMEs scale their operations. Discussions also highlighted the role of digitally enabled financial solutions in supporting business growth.

Industry experts examined several challenges currently facing SMEs. These included access to finance, operational efficiency, digital transformation, and long-term business resilience.

Furthermore, attendees discussed practical strategies that can help businesses adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining sustainable growth.

Business Leaders Share Entrepreneurial Insights

The programme featured discussions with business leaders representing Earth Cafe, Volume Cafe, and Lean n Fit Restaurant.

The speakers shared their experiences in entrepreneurship, customer engagement, and operational expansion. They also discussed how local businesses can navigate a competitive market environment while identifying new growth opportunities.

Their insights provided attendees with practical lessons on building resilient businesses and adapting to evolving consumer expectations.

Strengthening Qatar’s SME Ecosystem

Through SME Local Business Boost, QNB aims to create a collaborative environment that supports innovation and entrepreneurship across Qatar.

As the event series expands, it is expected to bring together more industry leaders, business owners, and experts. Consequently, the initiative could play an important role in strengthening the country’s SME ecosystem and supporting Qatar’s broader economic diversification objectives.
