Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has reached 50,000 active companies, marking a significant milestone for the emirate’s expanding business and investment ecosystem.
The companies represent more than 100 countries and operate across over 50 sectors. The community includes entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises, manufacturers and multinational companies.
The milestone also reflects RAKEZ’s efforts to broaden its industrial base and strengthen Ras Al Khaimah’s connections with international markets.
RAKEZ reaches 50,000 active companies
RAKEZ said its growing business community spans a diverse range of industries and company sizes.
Its ecosystem supports businesses at different stages of growth, from entrepreneurs and SMEs to large manufacturers and multinational enterprises. As a result, the economic zone has developed a broad base of companies operating across industrial, commercial and professional sectors.
RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad said the milestone represented more than the number of companies registered in the economic zone.
“Reaching 50,000 companies is an important milestone that reflects the trust we have built with the business community over the years,” Jallad said.
“What we value most is not the number itself, but what it represents: businesses, ambitions and investments that have chosen to grow within an ecosystem designed to respond to their needs and support their future plans.”
He added that growing businesses could create opportunities, generate jobs, advance industries and strengthen their contribution to the wider economy and community.
Ras Al Khaimah strengthens its manufacturing ecosystem
Manufacturing and industrial activities remain an important part of the RAKEZ business community.
Companies operate across sectors including engineering and industrial equipment, building materials, food and beverage, electronics and electrical products, metals and apparel. The ecosystem also supports both advanced and light manufacturing.
Meanwhile, RAKEZ hosts companies operating in general trading, e-commerce, media and marketing, wholesale and distribution, management consultancy and other professional services.
This mix allows the economic zone to support businesses across different industries and stages of development.
RAKEZ expands global outreach across key markets
RAKEZ has also increased its international outreach as it seeks to attract more businesses and investment to Ras Al Khaimah.
The economic zone has conducted strategic roadshows and business missions while developing partnerships in key markets. These include India, Europe and China.
Through these initiatives, RAKEZ aims to connect international businesses with investment opportunities in the emirate. At the same time, it is working to strengthen Ras Al Khaimah’s links with overseas markets.
The international expansion comes as the emirate continues to develop its position as a destination for businesses seeking access to regional and global markets.
RAKEZ targets its next phase of growth
Looking ahead, RAKEZ plans to build on its 50,000-company community by improving the business environment and expanding its services.
Jallad said the milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter for the economic zone.
“We see this milestone as the beginning of a new chapter, and as a responsibility to keep raising the bar,” he said.
“Our focus will remain on enhancing the customer experience, expanding our digital capabilities, strengthening our infrastructure and building strategic partnerships that open up greater opportunities for businesses to grow.”
He added that these efforts would also support Ras Al Khaimah’s long-term economic diversification.
With 50,000 active companies now operating within its ecosystem, RAKEZ is positioning its business community as a foundation for its next stage of expansion. The economic zone aims to deepen its contribution to Ras Al Khaimah’s economic development while connecting more companies with opportunities across the emirate and international markets.
