G42 has started recruiting artificial intelligence agents into enterprise roles. The move formalises how the company deploys AI across its operations.

The Abu Dhabi-based group has opened applications for AI agents that can operate within approved sovereign infrastructure. These agents must deliver measurable business value.

This marks a shift from experimental AI deployment to structured enterprise integration.

Structured Evaluation and Active Performance Testing

G42 will subject each AI agent to a strict evaluation process. The company will test technical capability, reliability, user experience and measurable outcomes.

To qualify, agents must prove enterprise-grade performance. They must also align with governance standards and deliver outcome-based results.

Successful agents will enter a defined probation phase. During this period, G42 will closely monitor sustained value delivery before scaling deployment.

Importantly, human leaders will retain full oversight and decision-making authority.

Value-Linked Compensation Model Introduced

The framework includes structured performance reviews. In addition, G42 will introduce a value-linked compensation model for AI agent developers.

This approach strengthens accountability. It also ties AI deployment directly to enterprise impact.

Billion-Agent Target Signals Aggressive AI Strategy

The recruitment initiative supports CEO Peng Xiao’s ambition to build one billion AI agents in 2026. Speaking earlier at the World Economic Forum, Xiao said these agents could operate across fields such as petroleum engineering and cybersecurity.

If deployed at scale, one billion agents could consume close to one gigawatt of AI infrastructure. Therefore, G42 continues to expand its infrastructure footprint within the UAE.

Redesigning Workforce Models for the AI Era

Maymee Kurian, Group Chief Augmented Human Capital Officer at G42, described the initiative as a redesign of workforce structure.

She said the company aims to augment human talent rather than replace it. AI agents will handle execution-heavy roles. Meanwhile, employees will focus on leadership, innovation and strategy.

G42 insists that governance, measurable standards and human accountability will remain central to this model.

From Subscription Tools to Structured AI Roles

Many companies already use AI tools through subscription platforms. These include HR screening systems, customer service chatbots and marketing automation software.

However, G42 now treats AI agents as structured enterprise roles. This creates clearer accountability and performance benchmarks.

As AI adoption accelerates, G42’s model may signal how enterprises formalise intelligent systems within workforce design.
