Divo Kumar has taken on the role of Director, Integrated Logistics (UAE) & RGM (MESA) at Ben Line Logistics Services, based in Abu Dhabi. He started the position in August 2026.
In his new role, Kumar holds commercial, operational and financial accountability for the businesses across the Middle East and South Asia. He is also responsible for setting the regional growth strategy.
His remit includes translating market and sector trends into priorities and investment cases for local supply chain requirements. He will also oversee the business development pipeline and support commercial growth across the region.
Kumar’s responsibilities extend to major client relationships. He acts as the senior relationship point for major accounts and handles commercial or account escalations.
Integrated logistics leadership across markets
A key part of Kumar’s role is building and developing local teams in each market. His responsibilities include recruiting and developing teams to support clients with capable resources on the ground.
He will also oversee project and contract delivery. This includes maintaining delivery standards, meeting timelines and managing budgets.
In addition, Kumar is responsible for driving efficiency across countries. His remit includes removing duplication and maintaining governance, risk and compliance requirements across the regional footprint.
Divo Kumar brings long Ben Line experience
Kumar has spent more than 13 years with Ben Line Group, according to his profile. Before taking his current position, he served as Group Commercial Manager, Offshore Commercial Manager and Group Commercial Manager, Offshore.
As Group Commercial Manager, Offshore, Kumar developed relationships across upstream oil and gas, cable laying and repair, dredging and salvage. His remit also covered emerging sectors such as wind and ocean energy.
Earlier, as Offshore Commercial Manager, he led offshore activities involving contractual, legal, risk and insurance matters. He also handled business development, sales and contract negotiations.
His previous work involved EPC contractors, rig and vessel owners and other offshore operators. The role covered marine, oil and gas, offshore support services and logistics solutions across Ben Line Agencies’ network.
Business and engineering background
Before joining Ben Line Group, Kumar worked as Business Manager at BS Tech Pte Ltd from November 2006 to September 2013. His responsibilities covered business growth and daily operations within the instrumentation sales industry.
He also worked as an Engineer at Keppel Offshore & Marine from 2004 to 2006. His earlier experience included marine, FSO and FPSO projects, as well as instrumentation work covering mechanical, pressure, electrical and temperature applications.
Kumar holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business from The University of Manchester. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business, Management, Marketing and related fields from Trinity College Dublin.
