The ENTERTAINER has appointed Abdulla Almoayed as Chairman as the Dubai based lifestyle membership platform strengthens its senior leadership team. The company also appointed new leaders across engineering, data and analytics, and people functions.
Almoayed will work with the Board and shareholders to guide the ENTERTAINER’s next phase. The company said its priorities include product, technology, data and customer experience.

As Chairman, Abdulla Almoayed will work with the ENTERTAINER’s Board and shareholders on the company’s next phase. The company said Almoayed brings experience across financial services and technology in the region.
The ENTERTAINER has built its membership business over 25 years. The company said it now plans to build on that base through greater investment in its product and technology capabilities.
Almoayed will also oversee the company’s broader leadership direction alongside the strengthened senior team. The company said the team will focus on developing a more personalised, data led and consumer centric platform.
The ENTERTAINER strengthens senior leadership
Alongside Almoayed’s appointment, the ENTERTAINER has appointed three senior leaders across core functions.
Louay Akkad joins as Vice President of Engineering. The company said Akkad previously held a senior engineering leadership role at Fresha, where he helped build and scale a consumer technology platform.
Waseem Akram Syed has been appointed Director of Data and Analytics. He brings experience in building data and analytics capabilities, including at Kitopi, according to the company.
Amira Eldin joins as Vice President of People. The company said Eldin has built and led people functions at fast growing companies in the region, including Tamara.
The appointments add external expertise across technology, data and people functions. They join an existing leadership team that includes Chief Financial Officer Yamen Fakhreddine.
Fakhreddine leads the company’s finance and operational functions. Dariush Kamyab and Keith Jaggard continue to lead the marketing and commercial functions.

The ENTERTAINER said the strengthened team will support its evolution towards a more personalised and data led platform.
The company also said the leadership team will focus on deepening member engagement. At the same time, it plans to create more effective ways for merchant partners to reach customers and build lasting relationships.
