Marsh Risk has appointed Rahamathullah Shah Refai as Senior Vice President in Oman. In his new role, he will support the company’s risk advisory and insurance solutions while working with clients on strategic risk management, placement and business growth initiatives across the Sultanate.
The appointment follows nearly two decades of experience across insurance, client advisory and commercial leadership. Rahamathullah Shah Refai joins Marsh Risk’s senior leadership team after serving as Country Placement Leader and Vice President at Marsh McLennan Companies, where he led placement strategies and insurance solutions across Oman.
Rahamathullah Shah Refai’s leadership experience
Throughout his career, Rahamathullah Shah Refai has built experience across insurance placement, casualty insurance, medical claims and client relationship management. Before joining Marsh Risk, he held several leadership positions within Marsh McLennan Companies, progressing through roles including Placement Leader, Assistant Vice President and Senior Account Executive, Assistant Vice President.
His professional journey reflects long term experience within the organisation. Before joining Marsh Risk Oman as Senior Vice President, he served as Country Placement Leader and Vice President at Marsh McLennan Companies, where he supported insurance placement and client advisory functions across Oman while working with businesses on risk management solutions. His progression through multiple leadership roles reflects continued responsibility across the company’s operations in the Sultanate.
Earlier in his career, he worked as Supervisor of Medical Claims and Hospital Networking at National Life & General Insurance Company SAOC. Before that, he served as Team Lead for Claims at TTK Healthcare TPA Pvt Ltd in Chennai, India, building experience in claims management and healthcare administration before moving into broader insurance leadership.
