Haitham Haji has been appointed Managing Director and Head of Business Development Middle East at PGIM, where he will oversee the firm’s regional business development strategy and client relationships across the Middle East.
In the role, Haji will focus on strengthening institutional and private client relationships while supporting PGIM’s presence across the region. PGIM is the global asset management business of Prudential Financial and ranks among the world’s leading asset managers.
Haitham Haji takes expanded leadership role at PGIM
The appointment places Haitham Haji at the centre of PGIM’s business development activities across the Middle East. His responsibilities include working with institutional investors and private clients while supporting the firm’s regional engagement efforts.
For business and HR leaders, the appointment highlights the value of deep regional expertise in relationship management and business development. Haji brings more than 25 years of experience across asset management, private banking, alternative investments and institutional relationship management.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as Executive Director and Head of Business Development Middle East at PGIM. He also held advisory and leadership positions across investment management and financial services organisations operating in the GCC and wider region.
Haitham Haji’s investment and banking experience
Before joining PGIM’s senior leadership team, Haji served as Executive Advisor at Investra Capital and Advisor to the Board at Afkar Holding. Earlier, he held the position of Director and Head of Distribution and Business Development at SICO BSC (C) in Bahrain.
His career also includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of a private investment firm and as Co Founder and Managing Director of Falconvest Group in London. Across these roles, he worked in asset management, investment distribution and business development.
Earlier in his career, Haji held senior positions at Credit Suisse, Arcapita and BBK, also known as Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait. These roles provided exposure to fundraising, wealth management, institutional relationship management and investment distribution across regional and international markets.
His experience includes working with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, financial institutions, government related entities and family offices throughout the GCC. Over the course of his career, he has built relationships with institutional investors across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The appointment also consolidates responsibility for regional client development under Haji’s leadership. His role combines relationship management, market engagement and business development activities across the GCC and wider Middle East region.
