Khatib & Alami has reinforced its leadership in project management consultancy (PMC) and facilities management (FM) with the appointment of Dany Ghandour as Vice President. The move signals a clear push to integrate delivery and long-term asset performance across its regional operations.

Strategic Focus on Lifecycle Asset Management

The company is sharpening its focus on lifecycle value rather than just project completion. As clients increasingly demand better operational outcomes, K&A is aligning its PMC and FM services under a unified leadership structure.

This approach allows smoother transitions from construction to operations. It also helps preserve design intent, reduce risks, and improve asset performance over time. As a result, clients benefit from consistent oversight throughout the asset lifecycle.

Leadership Backed by Decades of Regional Experience

Ghandour brings over 25 years of experience in engineering consultancy and project delivery. Notably, he spent nearly two decades at K&A earlier in his career. During that time, he led several multi-billion-dollar programs, mainly in Saudi Arabia.

He also managed complex PMC and FM contracts for both public and private sector clients. This experience gives him a strong understanding of regional infrastructure needs and operational challenges.

Before rejoining K&A, Ghandour held senior leadership roles at KEO International Consultants. There, he served as General Manager for Saudi Arabia and Managing Director of the FM practice. In these roles, he drove strategic growth and expanded service capabilities.

Leadership Commentary Signals Long-Term Vision

Dr. Najib Khatib, Chairman and CEO of K&A, highlighted the importance of integrating services. He noted that clients now expect more than asset delivery. They want assurance that assets will perform efficiently over time.

He added that combining PMC and FM strengthens continuity. It ensures better value protection long after project handover.

Ghandour also emphasized the shift in industry expectations. He pointed out that clients now seek partners who can manage both delivery and operations. According to him, this integrated approach enables more sustainable and efficient outcomes.

Strengthening Position Across the Middle East and Africa

Founded in 1956, Khatib & Alami remains one of the most established multidisciplinary consultancies in the Middle East and Africa. The firm operates across infrastructure, buildings, water, energy, and urban planning.

With this appointment, the company aims to deepen its presence in key markets. At the same time, it plans to enhance service delivery across the full asset lifecycle—from design to long-term operations.
