Oman Oil Marketing Company has appointed Mohammed Al Mujaini as Chief Operations Support Officer. The appointment adds an experienced energy and operations professional to the company’s senior leadership team.

The company announced the appointment on 5 October, noting Al Mujaini’s more than 26 years of experience across the energy, petrochemical and industrial sectors. His background includes operations, health and safety, environmental management and strategic projects.

Mohammed Al Mujaini energy sector experience

Al Mujaini has held the position of Chief Operations Support Officer at Oman Oil Marketing Company since July 2014, according to his professional profile. His career with the company spans more than 12 years.

Before joining Oman Oil Marketing Company, he served as Health, Safety and Environment Manager at OQ Base Industries from October 2010 to July 2014. Earlier, he worked as an HSE Engineer at OQ from 2007 to 2010.

He also spent seven years with Muscat Municipality as Head of the Environmental Health Section between 2000 and 2007.

Oman Oil Marketing Company said Al Mujaini has a track record in leading operations and strategic projects that have supported the company’s growth and business development.

His professional background also includes work across alternative energy and sustainability initiatives. His profile highlights EV and EV charging business concepts, biofuel business development, hydrogen fuelling development and solar development projects.

In addition, he has worked on ESG and sustainability reporting. His listed skills include environmental science, environmental impact assessment and environmental compliance.

Al Mujaini holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Griffith University. He also completed an MBA in Management at Sultan Qaboos University.

His qualifications also include a Certified Business Continuity Professional certification and Certified Innovation Practitioner certification. He holds a Certified KPI Professional qualification in Business Planning and an associate degree in Organisational Leadership from London Business School.

He is currently pursuing a PhD in Business, Management, Marketing and related support services at the University of Malaya, according to his profile.
