Enviroserve, the region’s leading provider of specialised e-waste recycling and resource-recovery solutions, has appointed Mahmood Rasheed as its new Chief Executive Officer CEO. The move marks a strategic leadership transition as the company scales its circular economy and ESG-aligned initiatives across the region.
Rasheed joins Enviroserve after a distinguished 30-year career at Imdaad, where he most recently served as Group Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he oversaw large-scale environmental, facilities management, recycling, and specialised services operations.
Leadership transition at a pivotal growth phase
Importantly, Rasheed’s appointment comes at a critical juncture for Enviroserve. The company is expanding its role in certified e-waste circularity, secure resource recovery, and compliance-driven recycling solutions aligned with regional sustainability mandates.
As CEO, he will focus on strengthening operational excellence and scaling innovation. In addition, he aims to reinforce Enviroserve’s position as a trusted partner to governments, public entities, and private-sector clients across the UAE and wider GCC.
Deep operational and ESG expertise
Rasheed’s professional foundation is rooted in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS). He began his career at Dubai World in 1996, where he built strong expertise in environmental governance and safety management.
Later, he joined Imdaad in 2007 and played a central role in expanding the company across multiple verticals and geographies. During his tenure as Group COO, he helped scale the business to annual revenues of AED 1 billion. He also supported expansion into additional GCC markets.
Alignment with national sustainability priorities
Going forward, a key priority will be close coordination with Enviroserve’s shareholders, Tadweer Group and Dubal Holding. This alignment will ensure the company’s growth strategy supports national sustainability goals, global ESG standards, and the UAE’s long-term economic diversification agenda.
Automation, traceability and governance at the core
Under Rasheed’s leadership, Enviroserve plans to accelerate the deployment of advanced automation and digital systems. These technologies will strengthen end-to-end traceability, transparency, and regulatory compliance across operations.
Moreover, data-driven controls and real-time tracking of material flows are expected to enhance audit readiness and reinforce data security. As a result, Enviroserve aims to further position itself as a benchmark for accountability and governance in the circular economy.
CEO outlook
“At Enviroserve, sustainability must be translated into measurable impact,” said Mahmood Rasheed, Chief Executive Officer of Enviroserve. “By working closely with Tadweer Group and Dubal Holding, we will move beyond conventional recycling models. Together, we will strengthen circular systems that recover value, protect the environment, and support a resilient digital economy.”
Education and credentials
Rasheed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the United States and an MBA from the United Kingdom. He is also a certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor through Lloyd’s. In addition, he is a graduate of the Dubai Leadership Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
