Azizi Developments has unveiled plans to invest Dh75 billion in the UAE’s hospitality sector, with a pipeline of 151 hotels and the creation of over 75,000 jobs. The announcement underscores strong investor confidence in the UAE’s tourism sector, even amid regional geopolitical uncertainties.

151 hotels to add 60,000 room keys

The expansion will be led by Azizi Hospitality, a subsidiary of the group. The portfolio includes 100 four-star hotels, 50 five-star properties, and one seven-star hotel. More than 90% of the developments will be located in Dubai. Once completed, the projects will add around 60,000 room keys to the emirate’s hospitality capacity.

A key highlight is the planned seven-star hotel within Burj Azizi on Sheikh Zayed Road, expected to become one of the city’s landmark developments.

Leadership signals long-term confidence in Dubai

Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman, said the investment reflects long-term confidence in Dubai’s position as a global tourism hub. He highlighted the emirate’s stable and forward-looking environment, which continues to attract large-scale investments and global visitors.

Projects underway across key developments

According to Farhad Azizi, eight hotels are currently under construction, while several others are in design and development stages. One of the ongoing projects includes a five-star hotel within the Azizi Riviera community in Mohammed Bin Rashid City, part of a broader portfolio of developments across the emirate.

Aligned with UAE tourism growth ambitions

The investment aligns with broader UAE tourism targets. Dubai aims to expand its hotel capacity to over 160,000 keys, supporting its goal of attracting 25 million visitors annually. Other emirates are also scaling up. Abu Dhabi is investing heavily in cultural and entertainment hubs, while Ras Al Khaimah is advancing tourism masterplans to boost visitor numbers.

Azizi to launch hospitality training academy

To support its expansion, Azizi Developments plans to establish the Azizi Hospitality Academy. The initiative will train the next generation of hospitality professionals and support the sector with skilled talent.
