As governments worldwide compete to build AI-driven economies, Qatar has aligned its strategy with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. The country views artificial intelligence as a key driver of economic diversification, productivity growth, and public-sector transformation.
AI Market Growth Reflects Expanding Digital Economy
Qatar’s AI sector has recorded significant growth over the past four years.
According to Tasmu Digital Valley, the country’s AI market reached approximately $59 million in 2026, compared with about $31 million in 2022. The expansion reflects rising investments in advanced technologies and growing adoption across industries.
Moreover, sectors such as construction, energy, healthcare, transportation, and government administration increasingly rely on AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency and decision-making.
As a result, AI has become an important pillar of Qatar’s broader digital economy strategy.

Al Nabit noted that technological innovation continues to evolve rapidly. Therefore, countries must build governance frameworks that encourage innovation while ensuring responsible and sustainable use of AI.
