Amwaj Rotana has appointed Ahmed Hassan as Director of Finance. The appointment strengthens the hotel’s executive leadership team as it continues to focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth.

The hotel announced the appointment on 14 July 2026. Hassan joins from Rotana Hotels in Saudi Arabia, where he served as Cluster Director of Finance. In that role, he oversaw Dana Rayhaan by Rotana in Dammam and Centro Waha in Riyadh.

Ahmed Hassan brings regional hospitality finance expertise

Hassan has more than 25 years of hospitality finance experience across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

During his previous role, he led financial planning, business performance, compliance and finance operations across two Rotana properties in Saudi Arabia.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting. In addition, he is pursuing the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive, or CHAE, designation.

Appointment strengthens Amwaj Rotana’s leadership team

According to Amwaj Rotana, the appointment supports the hotel’s focus on operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Hossam Kamal, General Manager of Amwaj Rotana, said Hassan’s regional experience and financial expertise will strengthen financial performance and governance. He added that Hassan’s leadership will also support hotel operations and help the property deliver value to guests and stakeholders.

New role focuses on financial performance

Commenting on the appointment, Hassan said he was pleased to join Amwaj Rotana and work with its leadership team.

He said his priorities include improving financial performance, supporting operational excellence and contributing to the hotel’s long term growth.

Rotana continues to expand its regional portfolio

Rotana manages more than 100 properties across the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.

Its portfolio includes Rotana Hotels & Resorts, Centro Hotels by Rotana, Rayhaan Hotels & Resorts by Rotana, Edge by Rotana, Arjaan Hotel Apartments by Rotana and The Residences by Rotana.

The company said it continues to expand while focusing on delivering its hospitality experience across its brands.
