Overseas Network has appointed Ali Saad as Managing Director of Overseas Network Middle East following the launch of the company’s regional headquarters in Qatar. The company announced the appointment on 8 July as it expands its presence across the Middle East and North Africa.

The new office gives Overseas Network a permanent base in the region. According to the company, the move also strengthens its relationship with the Qatar Airways Group and supports its growing partnerships across the Middle East.

Ali Saad to lead Middle East operations

Ali Saad brings nearly 20 years of commercial experience across luxury hospitality, tourism and international sports partnerships in the Middle East.

His hospitality career includes senior commercial roles with Hyatt in Qatar, Kempinski and IHG in Oman, and Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

Saad later led Middle East sales for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 hospitality programme at MATCH Hospitality. He also directed commercial hospitality and travel programmes for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, the UEFA Champions League Finals and Formula 1 events across the GCC.

Leadership role supports regional expansion

According to Overseas Network, Saad will oversee the company’s operations from its Qatar headquarters as it continues to serve clients across the MENA region.

The company said the region has become an important market for luxury travel, sports hospitality and premium experiences. Overseas Network also acts as an Official Sub Agent of On Location for the sale of the FIFA World Cup 26 Official Hospitality Programme and other events. In that role, the company works with tourism authorities, sports organisations, corporate clients and luxury travel buyers.

Michael Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of Overseas Network, said the decision to establish a regional headquarters in Qatar reflects the company’s long term commitment to the Middle East.

He said Ali Saad’s combination of regional market knowledge and international commercial experience makes him well suited to lead the business in the region.

Executive outlines regional priorities

Commenting on his appointment, Ali Saad said clients across the MENA region increasingly expect personalised services and seamless delivery for global travel and hospitality experiences.

Saad added that Overseas Network combines international reach with local expertise. He said the company has supported clients from the region for more than two decades while helping international partners tailor experiences for Middle East travellers.

He also said he looks forward to building strategic partnerships that connect clients across the region with global travel and hospitality experiences.
