In his new position, Hussain Almohri will lead the bank’s markets and client solutions strategy. His responsibilities include strengthening trading capabilities, expanding regional reach and driving performance across multi asset and structured solutions. The appointment brings more than two decades of regional banking and treasury experience to National Bank of Bahrain’s leadership team.

Hussain Almohri brings regional Banking experience

Before joining National Bank of Bahrain, Hussain Almohri spent more than 15 years with HSBC, where he most recently served as Head of Trading, MENAT Markets & Securities Services. In that position, he managed trading across multiple asset classes including foreign exchange, rates, credit, financing, equities and structuring while supporting HSBC’s markets business across the Middle East, North Africa and Türkiye.

Earlier, he held the role of Head of FX Trading, MENAT, Global Banking and Markets, where he managed regional foreign exchange exposure and worked with sovereign institutions, hedge funds and multinational clients. His HSBC career also included seven years as Director, Middle East FX Trading, where he was responsible for strengthening the bank’s position across GCC and North African currency markets. He worked as Assistant Director, MENA FX Trading at Crédit Agricole CIB, where he focused on foreign exchange trading across GCC and North African markets while contributing to structured hedging transactions for corporate clients.

Earlier in his career, he served as Treasury Manager at Investcorp and began his banking career as an FX and Money Market Dealer at Ahli United Bank. These positions provided broad exposure to treasury operations, capital markets and regional banking, building the foundation for his later leadership roles in global markets.
