Accor has appointed Fadeel Wehbe as Managing Director for Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery Hotel Collection and Emblems Collection in Saudi Arabia.

Wehbe will retain his role as Managing Director of Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre. His expanded remit covers the strategic direction, development and performance of the four luxury brands across Saudi Arabia.

Fadeel Wehbe expands Accor leadership role

Wehbe has held the Managing Director role for Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre since June 2025. His expanded Accor position began in September 2026, according to his professional profile.

The new role brings responsibility across several brands while keeping Wehbe in charge of the Riyadh property. He will work with hotel leadership teams, owners and partners across Saudi Arabia.

His responsibilities will include brand positioning, operational performance and guest experience. The remit also covers the development and opening of several Accor properties in the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia hotel openings form part of expanded remit

One immediate responsibility will be the opening of Sofitel Jabal Omar Makkah, scheduled for later in 2026.

Wehbe will also oversee the ongoing development of Abraj Omar Hotel & Residences Makkah, MGallery Collection, and Sofitel Serviced Residences Riyadh. Both projects are slated for 2029, according to the appointment announcement.

The expanded remit therefore combines existing hotel leadership with responsibility for brand development and future properties in Saudi Arabia.

Wehbe brings extensive hotel leadership experience

Before joining Accor’s current Saudi Arabia leadership structure, Wehbe held senior hotel management roles across the Middle East.

At Marriott International, he served as Multi-Property General Manager from August 2022 to May 2025. The role covered six properties in Dubai, including Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft Dubai Airport, Aloft Al Mina, Element Dubai Airport and Element Al Mina.

Earlier, Wehbe was General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre from November 2020 to June 2022. He also served as General Manager at Fairmont Amman from April 2018 to September 2020.

His Accor experience includes almost seven years as General Manager of Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers, from June 2011 to March 2018.

Wehbe’s earlier career also included development and acquisitions, special projects and general management roles across the Middle East. His experience spans hotel operations in the UAE, Jordan, Pakistan and Yemen.

He began his hotel career in Dubai, holding rooms division, front office and assistant management positions before moving into general management roles.

Accor’s Saudi luxury portfolio

In his expanded position, Wehbe will oversee leadership across Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery Hotel Collection and Emblems Collection in Saudi Arabia.

The role combines operational leadership at Sofitel Riyadh with responsibility for brand performance and the development of future properties. Wehbe will work with hotel teams, owners and partners as these responsibilities progress.

His academic background is in hotel and restaurant management. He holds a BSBA from the University of Denver, completed between 1982 and 1986.
