Al Husn Hotel Muscat has named Eugène de Rooze as its new Hotel Manager. The appointment strengthens the hotel’s focus on luxury service and guest satisfaction. It also supports the property’s long-term growth strategy.

Located above the Gulf of Oman, Al Husn Hotel Muscat is part of Hilton Muscat, Barr Al Jissah Resorts. The adults-only property is known for its private setting, premium service, and strong connection to Omani culture.

More Than 20 Years of Global Hospitality Experience

De Rooze brings over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality. During his career, he has worked across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States. He has also held senior leadership positions with leading hotel brands, including Kempinski, Waldorf Astoria, The Ritz-Carlton, Hyatt, and Fairmont.

This international experience has given him deep expertise in both resort and city hotel operations.

Leadership Experience Across Luxury Hotel Brands

Before joining Al Husn Hotel Muscat, de Rooze served as Hotel Manager at Kempinski Palace Cairo.

There, he led several operational departments. These included rooms, food and beverage, culinary services, security, spa operations, recreation, training, and quality management.

Earlier, he worked as Director of Operations at Waldorf Astoria Kuwait. He helped lead the property’s successful opening and launch.

The hotel and spa earned Forbes Five-Star recognition within their first year. His leadership played an important role in that achievement.

Focus on Guest Experience and Team Development

De Rooze is known for his hands-on leadership style. He also places strong emphasis on employee development and service quality.

His experience includes hotel openings, operational improvements, and luxury guest experience programs. Therefore, he is well positioned to support the next phase of growth at Al Husn Hotel Muscat.

In his new role, he will oversee daily hotel operations. He will also work closely with the resort’s leadership team.

His priorities include enhancing guest experiences, improving service delivery, and strengthening dining and wellness offerings.

Executives Welcome the Appointment

Commenting on his new role, de Rooze said the hotel offers a unique combination of natural beauty and Omani hospitality.

He added that he looks forward to working with the team and building on the property’s strong foundation.

Matthew Mullan, Resort General Manager of Hilton Muscat, Barr Al Jissah Resorts, also welcomed the appointment.

According to Mullan, de Rooze brings valuable international experience and proven operational expertise. He said those strengths will help further elevate the hotel’s guest experience.

Supporting Oman’s Growing Luxury Tourism Sector

Al Husn Hotel Muscat is part of Hilton Muscat, Barr Al Jissah Resorts. The destination also includes DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha and Hilton Muscat Al Bandar.

The resort complex attracts visitors with its beachfront location, dining options, and leisure facilities.

With de Rooze joining the leadership team, Al Husn Hotel Muscat aims to strengthen its position in Oman’s luxury hospitality market and deliver even more memorable guest experiences.
