Alujain Corporation has reappointed Khalid bin Mohammed Al Dawood as Chief Executive Officer, effective 29 September 2026. The Saudi Arabia based company made the decision after Al Dawood briefly stepped down following his statutory retirement date.

Khalid Al Dawood returns as Alujain CEO

Alujain Corporation’s board approved Al Dawood’s return on 24 September 2026. As a result, the company’s temporary leadership arrangement will end on 28 September.

The board had accepted Al Dawood’s resignation after he reached the statutory retirement age on 14 September. However, Alujain later agreed with Al Dawood that he would resume work within 15 days of his resignation.

Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Khalid Al Mutairi has served as acting CEO since 13 September. The board will end his acting CEO assignment at the close of business on 28 September.

Al Mutairi will continue as Vice President of Administrative Affairs at Alujain Corporation. Therefore, his return to that role will follow the end of his temporary CEO assignment.

Al Dawood brings engineering and management experience

Al Dawood holds a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in electrical and control engineering.

His experience covers industrial asset management, economics, engineering and management. The source does not provide further details about his previous roles or time at Alujain Corporation.

From 29 September, Al Dawood will again lead Alujain Corporation as CEO. The company has not provided details about any changes to his responsibilities.

Alujain ends interim CEO arrangement

Alujain Corporation announced Al Mutairi as acting CEO on 13 September. He took over after Al Dawood resigned from the CEO position.

The board later accepted Al Dawood’s resignation following his statutory retirement on 14 September. Alujain then agreed with him on a return to work within 15 days.

Now, the board’s 24 September decision brings the interim arrangement to an end. Al Mutairi will remain Vice President of Administrative Affairs after 28 September.

Al Dawood will resume the CEO role on 29 September. The return comes just over two weeks after his resignation as part of the retirement related process.

Leadership transition at Alujain Corporation

The decision restores Al Dawood to the CEO position after a short period of interim leadership. At the same time, Al Mutairi will continue in his existing administrative affairs role.

For senior leaders and HR professionals, the appointment provides a clear example of a CEO transition linked to statutory retirement requirements. However, Alujain has not stated that the move forms part of a wider succession or talent strategy.

The company has also not announced any wider changes to its executive structure. Al Dawood will therefore return to the CEO role from 29 September 2026.
