DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF) has appointed Lija Wierieszczinskaja as its new Commercial Head in Dubai. She will lead the company’s commercial strategy across its aircraft management, charter, maintenance and VIP handling activities.
The appointment adds to DCAF’s senior leadership team as the company continues to develop its business aviation services. The company said Wierieszczinskaja will focus on commercial relationships and new growth opportunities across its businesses.
Lija Wierieszczinskaja brings private aviation experience
Wierieszczinskaja brings experience across business aviation, aircraft management, luxury services, client experience and business development.
Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions in the private aviation sector. Her work has included relationships with aircraft owners and high net worth clients.
She has also developed businesses and service propositions for the luxury and private aviation markets. Her experience covers both aircraft management and private aviation operations.
In addition, Wierieszczinskaja has focused on customer experience and long term client relationships. These areas form part of her experience with aircraft owners and private aviation clients.
Commercial Head role covers DCAF growth activities
As Commercial Head, Wierieszczinskaja will work across DCAF’s aircraft management, charter, maintenance and VIP handling businesses.
The company said the role will support its commercial strategy as DCAF expands its services. It will also involve strengthening relationships with clients, partners and other stakeholder groups.
Wierieszczinskaja said she would work with the DCAF team to strengthen commercial relationships. She also said the role would focus on creating new growth opportunities across the company’s business lines.
Holger Ostheimer, Managing Director of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, said Wierieszczinskaja brings experience in business aviation and an understanding of the expectations of VIP end users and aircraft owners.
Ostheimer also said her appointment would support DCAF’s commercial strategy and its relationships with clients and partners.
DCAF expands business aviation capabilities
The appointment comes as DCAF continues to develop its business aviation capabilities in the Middle East.
Most recently, the company expanded its charter fleet with an Airbus ACJ318 Elite+. The aircraft supports DCAF’s ability to serve demand for long range private travel, according to the company.
DCAF has also expanded its technical capabilities. The company secured San Marino CAR 145 approval for its maintenance operations.
These developments sit alongside DCAF’s existing aircraft management, charter, maintenance and VIP handling activities. The company also provides FBO and ground handling services, hangarage and aviation consultancy.
DC Aviation Al-Futtaim operates from Dubai South
DC Aviation Al-Futtaim is based at Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai South. The company is a joint venture between Germany’s DC Aviation and UAE based Al-Futtaim.
DCAF operates a business aviation facility at Al Maktoum International Airport. Its services include aircraft management, maintenance, FBO operations, ground handling and charter.
The company also provides hangarage and aviation consultancy services. Its facility includes a 1,300 square metre Premier Lounge, dedicated on site customs and hangar space.
Wierieszczinskaja’s appointment therefore places commercial leadership across a business with activities spanning aircraft operations, maintenance, charter and client services.
The new Commercial Head will now work with the DCAF team to strengthen commercial relationships and pursue new opportunities across these business areas.
