Mahmood Zainal has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ghitha, Bahrain Food Holding Company and a portfolio company of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat).
Following his appointment, Mahmood Zainal shared that he will work closely with the Board of Directors, portfolio companies and strategic partners. His responsibilities will focus on portfolio development, business growth and operational excellence while supporting Ghitha’s objectives within Bahrain’s food sector.
Mahmood Zainal begins leadership role at Ghitha
In his new position, Mahmood Zainal will collaborate with the Board and Ghitha’s portfolio businesses to support the company’s strategic priorities. He said his work will centre on strengthening portfolio development and advancing business growth across the organisation.
At the same time, the role includes promoting operational excellence through close cooperation with internal teams and external partners.
Business growth remains a key priority
Zainal said he looks forward to building on the foundations already established at Ghitha. He also highlighted the importance of working alongside the company’s leadership team to support its future direction.
Furthermore, his priorities include expanding business opportunities, strengthening collaboration with strategic partners and contributing to the continued development of the company’s portfolio.

Ghitha serves as Bahrain Food Holding Company and is part of the Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat) portfolio.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mahmood Zainal will lead the company while working with the Board of Directors and portfolio companies to support organisational priorities and business performance.
