Saudi Power Procurement Company has appointed Tarek Ghazzawi as Director of its Human Resources Centre of Excellence in Saudi Arabia. Ghazzawi took up the role in July 2026, expanding his remit across human capital strategy, organisational development and workforce planning.
He joins the role after two years as the company’s Total Rewards & Performance Management Manager. His new responsibilities cover several areas of human resources and organisational planning.
Tarek Ghazzawi expands human resources leadership role
In his new role, Ghazzawi will contribute to the development of human capital frameworks, strategies and policies. These will align with the organisation’s broader strategic priorities.
His remit includes organisational development and strategic workforce planning. It also covers rewards and performance management, talent management and succession planning.
In addition, Ghazzawi will work across employee culture and engagement. His responsibilities therefore span both workforce planning and broader human capital management.
Ghazzawi brings HR, finance and banking experience
Ghazzawi has experience across human resources, workforce planning, finance and banking. His career has included roles in Saudi Arabia and the United States.
Before joining Saudi Power Procurement Company, Ghazzawi worked at THIQAH Business Services. He served as Senior Specialist in Rewards & Strategic Workforce Financial Planning.
Previously, he spent more than two years at stc. During that period, he progressed through strategic workforce planning roles.
Ghazzawi first served as a Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst at stc. He later moved into the role of Senior Strategic Workforce Planning Analyst.
Earlier, Ghazzawi worked at Bank of America in the Greater Philadelphia area. He was a Relationship Banker for Consumer and Small Business.
That role gave him experience in financial services and banking. He later built on this background through workforce planning and human capital roles.
Human capital management spans Ghazzawi’s remit
Across his HR career, Ghazzawi has worked across several human capital functions. These include reward and performance management, workforce planning and organisational development.
His experience also covers talent management and succession planning. In addition, he has worked on employee culture and engagement.
Ghazzawi has also contributed to institutional HR frameworks and policies. His background combines financial analysis and business planning with human capital management.
This combination supports his remit across workforce and organisational decisions at Saudi Power Procurement Company.
Ghazzawi’s education includes finance and leadership
Ghazzawi holds a Master of Science in Financial Services from Saint Joseph’s University in the United States. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from the same institution.
In addition, he has completed specialised programmes in finance and investment. His further education includes rewards and human capital management, as well as leadership and management development.
The appointment brings his experience across finance, workforce planning and human resources into a broader leadership remit at Saudi Power Procurement Company.
