Luxury retail executive Kevin Chalhoub has been appointed UAE Country Manager at Etoile Group, marking a significant leadership move for one of the Middle East’s leading fashion and luxury retail companies.

Chalhoub announced the appointment through a LinkedIn post, expressing optimism about the future of the UAE and wider GCC retail market. He highlighted the sector’s resilience and emphasized the importance of rebuilding momentum after recent regional challenges.

The appointment comes at a time when the UAE retail industry continues to benefit from strong consumer demand, growing tourism activity, and ongoing investments in luxury and premium shopping experiences.

A Decade of Leadership at Etoile Group

Chalhoub brings extensive experience to the role. He has served on Etoile Group’s Board of Directors since 2016 and has played an active role in shaping the company’s long-term strategy.

Before taking on his new position, he led TUMI’s operations across the Middle East. During his tenure, he focused on strengthening the brand’s regional presence and enhancing customer engagement.

As UAE Country Manager, he is expected to oversee market growth, support retail expansion, and further strengthen customer experience initiatives.

Strong Presence Across Business and Sustainability

In addition to his retail responsibilities, Chalhoub remains active in several business and sustainability initiatives.

He currently serves as a Board Member at The Sustainable City and the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. These positions reflect his commitment to innovation, technology, and sustainable development across the region.

Furthermore, he is the Founder and CEO of EV Lab, a company focused on electric mobility solutions. He also leads LEAF (Leave Earth A Future), an initiative dedicated to sustainability and environmental awareness.

UAE Retail Market Continues to Attract Investment

The UAE remains one of the Middle East’s most attractive retail destinations. Strong tourism flows, a growing population, and high consumer confidence continue to support market expansion.

Meanwhile, luxury brands are increasing their presence across major shopping destinations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a result, competition among retailers is becoming more intense.

Industry experts believe the UAE will remain a key gateway for international brands seeking growth opportunities across the GCC.

Global Education and Regional Expertise

Chalhoub combines industry experience with a strong academic background. He holds a Master’s degree in Atmosphere and Energy from Stanford University. He also studied Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London and Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.

This combination of international education and regional business experience provides a strong foundation for his new leadership role.

Looking Ahead

Etoile Group’s decision to appoint Chalhoub reflects its focus on experienced leadership and long-term growth.

As the UAE retail sector enters a new phase of expansion, the company is expected to focus on strengthening its market position and enhancing customer experiences. Additionally, new growth opportunities across the Emirates are likely to remain a key priority.

With deep roots in the region and a broad leadership background, Chalhoub is well positioned to help guide Etoile Group through its next stage of development.
