CFI Financial Group has appointed Federico Cirulli as Chairman of the Board. The appointment follows a period of record trading performance and continued expansion across the Group’s international markets.

The move forms part of CFI’s ongoing changes to its leadership and governance structure. The Group said the changes are designed to support its growth as a more institutional and scalable organisation.

Federico Cirulli joins CFI Financial Group Board

Cirulli brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in regulated financial services. His background includes CEO and senior executive positions across brokerage and asset management.

His experience covers business leadership, governance, regulation and international growth. It also includes the scaling of regulated financial services businesses.

As Chairman, Cirulli will lead the Board and work closely with Group CEO Ziad Melhem and the management team. His focus will include scalability, operational excellence and international expansion.

CFI strengthens leadership and governance

The appointment follows the appointment of Ziad Melhem as Group Chief Executive Officer in June 2025. CFI also strengthened its Board through the appointment of independent members in November 2025.

Meanwhile, CFI co founders Hisham Mansour and Eduardo Fakhoury will move from their roles as Chairman and Vice Chairman. Both will continue to serve on the Board as Non Executive Directors.

CFI said its executive management team and strategy will remain in place. The leadership changes therefore add an independent Chairman while retaining the existing executive team and the two co founders on the Board.

Mansour said the appointment supports CFI’s longer term development beyond its founders.

“Federico’s appointment is an important step in that journey,” said Hisham Mansour, Co Founder and Non Executive Director of CFI Financial Group.

Mansour added that he had known and worked with Cirulli for many years. He also said the two co founders remain fully invested in CFI’s success.

Chairman to support CFI’s international expansion

Cirulli will work with the Board, Melhem and the wider management team as CFI continues to expand. His stated priorities include maintaining strategic focus and supporting disciplined growth.

The new Chairman said CFI had built its foundations over more than 25 years. He also highlighted the company’s focus on combining entrepreneurial ambition with institutional standards.

” I am honoured to take on the role of Chairman at such an important stage in the Group’s development,” Cirulli said.

He said his focus would be on working with the Board and management team to build on CFI’s foundations. He also pointed to disciplined growth, strong governance and high standards as the Group expands across markets, products and services.

Melhem said CFI’s expansion brings responsibilities alongside growth opportunities. He linked the appointment to the importance of governance as the Group enters more markets and works with additional regulators and clients.

CFI Financial Group expands its global footprint

Established in 1998, CFI Financial Group provides online trading and investing services. The Group has more than 25 years of experience as a regulated online trading provider.

CFI provides access to global and local markets across equities, currencies, commodities and other products. Its operations span financial centres including London, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Cape Town, Baku, Beirut, Amman, Cairo and Bogotá.

The Group said it has continued to invest in technology, products and international expansion. CFI also has an independent Board and will now have an independent Chairman.

The company said these leadership and governance changes will support its continued scaling as a global trading and investment group.
