Bahrain AI skills remain a key focus as MPs encourage schools to prepare students for an AI-driven future while strengthening national identity. They said education should continue to balance innovation, technology and shared values as students return for the 2026-27 academic year.
Lawmakers said His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s message highlights education as the foundation of the Kingdom’s future. They also stressed that Bahrain AI skills for students will help prepare young people for emerging opportunities while preserving citizenship and belonging.
Bahrain AI Skills for students support future learning
MP Maryam Al Sayegh said the King’s message places citizenship, skills, teachers and families at the centre of education. She noted that learning remains a shared responsibility between schools, parents and society.
Furthermore, she highlighted the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for technical education and modern teaching methods. She also pointed to greater access to artificial intelligence and innovation tools as part of Bahrain AI skills for students.
Technology and national identity in education
MP Dr Hassan Bukhammas said education remains central to national progress. He added that schools should prepare young Bahrainis with strong knowledge while preserving their identity and values.
He also encouraged schools to keep pace with modern technology through updated curricula, digital learning and future skills. In addition, he called for stronger cooperation between parents and schools to support student development.

MP Jalal Kadhem praised teachers for their role in developing future generations. He said educators continue to inspire knowledge, responsibility and a sense of belonging among students.
Moreover, he recognised the Education Ministry’s preparations for the new academic year, including efforts to provide suitable learning environments for students and staff.
