Kuwait summer work ban has officially concluded after protecting outdoor workers during the hottest months of the year. At the same time, Kuwait ends summer midday outdoor work ban while keeping workplace safety standards and regular inspections in place to safeguard employee wellbeing.

Kuwait Summer Work Ban concludes after summer season

Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) announced the end of the seasonal restriction on outdoor work during peak midday hours. The annual measure, enforced under Ministerial Resolution No. 3 of 2006, helped protect workers from extreme summer temperatures and reduce the risk of heat-related illnesses.

With the seasonal restriction now lifted, outdoor work activities can resume under normal schedules. However, the policy continues to highlight Kuwait’s commitment to protecting workers through preventive labor measures and strong occupational health standards.

Employers must continue protecting workers

Although the seasonal ban has ended, employers remain responsible for maintaining safe and healthy workplaces. They must continue providing suitable working conditions that protect employees from occupational risks throughout the year.

Moreover, the end of the seasonal restriction serves as a reminder that workplace safety extends beyond summer regulations. Companies are expected to follow health and safety guidelines, encourage proper hydration and adopt measures that support employee wellbeing throughout the year.

Kuwait Summer Work Ban maintains safety standards

PAM confirmed that inspection teams will continue monitoring worksites across Kuwait. The authority will ensure employers comply with labor laws, occupational safety requirements and worker protection regulations. In addition, companies that violate these rules may face penalties under existing labor legislation.

These regular inspections help strengthen compliance while encouraging employers to maintain safer work environments for outdoor employees.

Worker safety remains a National priority

The conclusion of the Kuwait summer work ban marks the end of a seasonal restriction, not the end of worker protection efforts. Instead, authorities will continue promoting occupational health through monitoring, enforcement and employer accountability.

Furthermore, ongoing inspections, clear labor regulations and responsible workplace practices strengthen Kuwait’s commitment to worker welfare. Together, these efforts create safer working environments, support long-term occupational health and reinforce a culture of workplace safety across the country.
