DAMAC confirmed this week that more than 250 employees will support operations at its new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Noida, while hiring for a second Pune centre begins ahead of a 2026 expansion phase. The move strengthens DAMAC’s shared-services workforce in India as the company builds long-term regional hubs.

What changed in DAMAC’s India expansion

DAMAC said its new India services arm, DAMAC Shared Services India (DSSI), has started hiring for core functions at the Noida GCC. The company has leased 22,622 sq ft for the centre and expects the site to anchor finance, digital, HR, operations and sales support. A second GCC in Pune is also planned, with recruitment expected to scale through 2026.

The company told Economic Times that the Pune hub will add around 100 employees during its initial rollout. The two centres will work together as integrated delivery units for DAMAC’s global business.

Impact on employees and talent demand

The Noida GCC will employ more than 250 people across multiple business units. DAMAC said the teams will handle workstreams linked to commercial operations, marketing, project management and technology. The planned Pune centre will expand DAMAC’s India workforce further by creating new roles in support functions and regional collaboration.

India’s GCC ecosystem has created strong hiring pipelines for global firms. Vestian’s July report noted that India hosts nearly 1,700 GCCs across major cities, representing 53% of the 3,200 centres worldwide.

Why DAMAC is building workforce capacity in India

Hussain Sajwani, founder of DAMAC Group, said India’s talent base and technology capabilities make it a strategic location for shared services. He noted that the company plans to build high-performing teams by 2026 to support DAMAC’s wider operations.

MP John, Chief Human Capital Officer, said the company aims to create a workplace culture centred on collaboration and innovation. He added that DSSI will streamline how DAMAC’s global regions coordinate internal processes.

How the new centres fit into DAMAC’s global operations

Founded in 1982, the UAE-based company operates across property development, data centres, hospitality, retail and fashion. The new India GCCs will link into the group’s commercial and digital networks, supporting expansion into new markets and centralising key functions under DSSI.

The company said that both Noida and Pune will form long-term capability hubs and help standardise internal processes across regions.
