In his new role, Tawfik will lead all global commercial functions. These include sales, marketing, business development, and partnerships. He will also oversee professional and managed services. As a result, Core42 expects faster adoption of its AI cloud platforms across global markets.
Strong Track Record in Global Technology Leadership
Tawfik brings nearly three decades of experience in the technology sector. Notably, he spent over 25 years at Microsoft. During that time, he held senior leadership roles across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
He has consistently built and scaled technology businesses. In addition, he has led complex partnerships and supported large-scale AI and cloud adoption.
Experience with G42–Microsoft Alliance
Most recently, Tawfik served as Chief Partnership Officer for the G42–Microsoft alliance. In this role, he drove strategic alignment across multiple markets. He also enabled sovereign cloud deployments and supported responsible AI adoption. Therefore, he brings direct experience in building large-scale AI ecosystems.

Tawfik said Core42 is building the backbone for next-generation AI economies. He added that organisations are now moving from ambition to execution. Therefore, his focus will be on expanding global reach. He also aims to help customers deploy trusted and production-ready AI systems.
