Dubai, UAE — Global hospitality leader Accor has announced the appointment of Sushma Shetty as the new Cluster Director of Talent & Culture across Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate, and Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate.
Bringing over 17 years of experience in Dubai’s hospitality sector, Sushma Shetty is known for her strategic approach to people management. Her deep understanding of organizational culture contribute to her consistent record of building empowered, inclusive teams. Throughout her career, she has led human resources operations for renowned hotel groups including Hyatt and IHG Hotels & Resorts. Over the years, she earned recognition for her leadership, empathy, and ability to drive employee engagement.
Shetty’s career began as a Human Resources Coordinator at Hawthorn Hotel Deira, where she gained foundational experience in the industry. She later joined IHG, serving for nearly two years before advancing to Assistant Manager of Human Resources at Mercure Gold Hotel. Her continued growth within Accor saw her take on the role of Talent & Culture Manager. This closely followed her position as Cluster People & Culture Manager for Accor Hotels, Dubai Deira Waterfront, and Gold Souk District. She also held the same title at the Mövenpick Grand Al Bustan Hotel & Convention Centre Dubai, where she strengthened her expertise in leadership development and employee well-being.
In her new role, Shetty will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of people and culture across the three properties. Her focus will include employee development, talent acquisition, training, and retention initiatives, all aimed at upholding Accor’s strong people-first philosophy. She will also work closely with property leadership teams to sustain a workplace culture that values inclusivity, creativity, and growth.

The hospitality chain operates more than 85 properties across the UAE and continues to expand its regional footprint. The group recently added Dubai’s Creekside Hotel to its portfolio.
