Odisha industrial projects worth ₹4,111.80 crore were approved on February 11 in Bhubaneswar after the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority cleared 23 proposals. The meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, outlined investments across sectors with 9,924 jobs creation in Odisha expected from the pipeline.
What changed in Odisha industrial projects approvals
Odisha industrial projects cleared by the authority cover a wide range of sectors, including mechanical and electrical capital goods, apparel and textiles, aerospace and defence manufacturing, shipbuilding and repair, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, logistics, warehousing, tourism, and downstream metal industries. The government said these approvals aim to strengthen the state’s industrial base and support new production capacity across multiple value chains.
Officials added that the diversified mix of proposals reflects Odisha’s focus on both traditional manufacturing and emerging advanced industries. The approvals also include projects in mineral processing, aluminium downstream manufacturing, plastics, and glass production, reflecting continued growth across industrial hubs.
9,924 jobs creation in Odisha linked to new investments
The cleared proposals include a railway component manufacturing unit by Nipha Ltd in Khurda, with an investment of ₹384 crore and 310 jobs. Meanwhile, Inventgrid India Pvt Ltd will set up an advanced multi-drone manufacturing centre in Ganjam, backed by ₹300 crore and plans for 1,000 jobs.
In addition, Northern Express Infra Developers Pvt Ltd will develop a shipbuilding and ship repair facility in Bhadrak. The project involves ₹339.40 crore investment and has the potential to create 507 roles.
Impact on districts and sector expansion
Tourism projects include two five-star hotels in Puri and Khurda, along with two four-star hotels planned in Puri and Sambalpur. Apparel and textile manufacturing will expand through JG Hosiery Pvt Ltd’s garment unit in Khurda, expected to create 2,350 jobs.
Pharmaceutical and chemical investments include ₹100 crore units by Alventa Pharma Ltd in Khurda and Blue Mount Energy Pvt Ltd in Cuttack.
The state also approved refractory, aluminium downstream, mineral beneficiation, and metal processing proposals in Sundargarh, Jajpur, Koraput, and Deogarh.Odisha industrial projects cleared in this round will now move through implementation stages under district-level monitoring and statutory compliance.
