Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has introduced an enhanced digital service that allows authorised employers to review and update worker information electronically.

The move forms part of the Kingdom’s wider push to digitise government and labour market services. It also aims to reduce paperwork and simplify workforce administration for businesses.

MHRSD enables employers to update worker data online

The Review/Update Worker Data service is available through the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s electronic services portal.

Authorised representatives of registered establishments can use the service to access, verify and amend employee information online. As a result, employers can manage certain worker records without relying on in-person visits or paper-based procedures.

Users must first log into the ministry’s electronic services platform. They then need to select the relevant establishment before accessing employee records.

Employers can search using national ID or iqama details

The service allows authorised users to search for workers using several identification details.

These include:

  • National ID
  • Iqama, or residency permit number
  • Border number

After locating the relevant record, authorised representatives can review the employee information and make updates where required.

However, access remains limited to authorised representatives of registered establishments. This restriction ensures that only eligible users can access and manage worker information.

Saudi Arabia continues to digitise labour market services

The new service supports Saudi Arabia’s broader digital transformation agenda.

In recent years, the Kingdom has expanded the use of digital platforms across government services. Labour and employment-related transactions have also increasingly moved online.

Consequently, employers can access a growing number of services electronically. These initiatives aim to improve service delivery, reduce administrative requirements and make government services more accessible.

The latest update also supports employers in maintaining accurate workforce records. At the same time, it could help reduce the administrative effort involved in managing employee information.

Digital workforce services support faster HR administration

For HR teams and employers, accurate employee records play an important role in workforce administration and regulatory compliance.

By allowing authorised representatives to review and update information through an online platform, the service simplifies the process of managing worker data.

Moreover, the digital approach reduces dependence on manual and paper-based processes. It also supports the Kingdom’s efforts to build a more efficient and accessible labour services ecosystem.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has advised employers to refer to its official electronic services platform for detailed guidance and information on eligibility requirements.
