Riyad Bank has appointed Adeem AlMurayi as Head of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Machine Learning and Senior Vice President in Saudi Arabia. The appointment adds an experienced data and analytics executive to the bank’s senior leadership team.
Adeem AlMurayi brings more than a decade of experience in data analytics, artificial intelligence, data science, business intelligence and digital transformation. According to her professional profile, her work has focused on helping organisations make better decisions and solve complex business challenges through data.
Leadership experience across banking, telecoms and energy
Before joining Riyad Bank, AlMurayi served as Director of Market Intelligence at Saudi Energy. She held that position from May 2024 until June 2026.
Earlier, AlMurayi spent nearly six years at stc, where she progressed through several leadership roles. She served as Director of Analytics Innovation, Analytics Lifecycle Professional (Section Manager) and Data Mining Specialist. During that period, she worked on analytics innovation, data literacy and the wider adoption of analytics across the organisation.
AlMurayi also built part of her career at Riyad Bank, where she worked in business intelligence roles before returning to the organisation in her latest leadership appointment. She previously served as Business Intelligence Specialist and later Business Intelligence Specialist and Manager, supporting reporting, visualisation, data mining and advanced analytics teams.
She began her professional career as Administrative Coordinator for Human Capital Development at the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in Saudi Arabia.
Background in digital transformation and AI
AlMurayi holds an Executive Master’s degree in Digital Transformation and Innovation Leadership from IE Business School in Spain. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from King Saud University, graduating with excellent honours according to the source material.
Her executive education includes the LEAD Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business and the HiPo Leadership Program at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
In addition, AlMurayi has completed professional certifications in Big Data Analytics, Generative AI for Business Professionals, and Storytelling, Change Management and Governance.
