Capgemini Invent has appointed Safia Laheraitani as Vice President and Head of Energy Transition & Utilities for the Middle East, strengthening its leadership team as governments and businesses accelerate energy transformation and sustainability programmes across the region.

Capgemini Invent has appointed Safia Laheraitani as Vice President and Head of Energy Transition & Utilities for the Middle East. The move strengthens the firm’s leadership team as energy companies accelerate digital transformation and sustainability programmes across the region.

Laheraitani announced the appointment on LinkedIn. She said she is excited to join a global organisation where AI, digital innovation and transformation play a central role.

Brings more than a decade of transformation experience

Laheraitani has more than 10 years of experience in digital strategy, customer-centric transformation and business innovation. During her career, she has led large-scale transformation programmes across Europe and the Middle East. She has also helped organisations modernise operations and improve customer experiences.

Before joining Capgemini Invent, Laheraitani spent more than 16 years at EY. There, she held several senior leadership positions within the energy consulting business.

Most recently, she served as Head of Operations for MENA Energy Consulting. Earlier, she worked as Director for Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies. In that role, she led projects focused on innovation, operational excellence and energy transition.

Focus on energy transition and AI-led growth

The appointment comes as governments and businesses across the Middle East increase investment in renewable energy, decarbonisation and digital infrastructure.

Energy companies are also adopting AI-powered technologies to improve efficiency and support sustainability goals. As a result, demand for consulting expertise continues to grow.

At Capgemini Invent, Laheraitani will lead the Energy Transition & Utilities practice across the Middle East. She will work with clients on transformation programmes that combine technology, innovation and sustainability.

“After years of delivering large-scale transformation programmes across the region, I am thrilled to continue this journey with a global platform where AI, digital and innovation are in the DNA,” Laheraitani said in her announcement.

Strong international and academic background

Laheraitani holds a Master’s degree in Digital Business Strategy from HEC Paris. She also earned an engineering degree in Telecommunications and Networks from ECE Paris. In addition, she completed studies in global business management at University of California, Irvine.

She speaks English, French and Arabic. She also holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Agile certifications.

Supporting regional transformation goals

Capgemini Invent continues to expand its advisory capabilities in energy, utilities and sustainability. The firm sees growing demand for expertise in digital transformation, innovation and emerging technologies.

With deep experience in consulting and energy transformation, Laheraitani is expected to play a key role in helping organisations navigate the changing energy landscape and achieve their long-term growth goals.
