E-commerce platform noon has elevated Nalin Awasthi to the role of Director, marking a key step in strengthening its fulfilment and logistics leadership across the region.

Awasthi, who has been with noon for over eight years, will now lead large-scale warehouse operations across the UAE. His mandate includes improving operational efficiency, driving automation, and enhancing inventory accuracy. He will also focus on scaling fulfilment capabilities to support the company’s rapid growth.

Driving operational excellence and scalable fulfilment systems

In his new role, Awasthi will oversee end-to-end warehouse operations. These include inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, workforce planning, and process optimisation. He will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution across the supply chain.

Moreover, his leadership will prioritise productivity gains and lean operational practices. This aligns with noon’s broader strategy to strengthen its quick commerce and e-commerce infrastructure in the Middle East.

A seasoned leader with deep supply chain expertise

Awasthi brings more than a decade of experience in fulfilment operations and supply chain management. Before this role, he served as Associate Director – Fulfilment in Cairo, where he managed regional operations and led expansion initiatives.

Earlier, he played a critical role in building and scaling supply chain networks across the MENA region. He also held multiple leadership positions within noon, focusing on operational excellence and ecosystem development.

Prior to joining noon, Awasthi worked with Flipkart, where he led fulfilment operations across key Indian markets including Hyderabad and New Delhi.

Focus on team building and process transformation

Known for his emphasis on team building and process transformation, Awasthi has consistently driven high-performance operations. His expertise spans fulfilment centre management, reverse logistics, lean practices, and Six Sigma methodologies.

Additionally, he has played a key role in developing scalable processes and fostering collaborative teams. These capabilities are expected to support noon’s next phase of growth.

Strategic timing for noon’s next growth phase

The appointment comes at a time when noon is expanding its logistics backbone to meet rising consumer demand. As competition intensifies in the regional e-commerce space, operational efficiency and last-mile excellence remain critical differentiators.

With Awasthi at the helm of fulfilment operations, noon aims to strengthen its position as a leading digital commerce platform in the Middle East.
