Beyon has appointed Richard Budel as the new Chief Executive Officer of Beyon Connect, part of the Beyon Group. The company said Budel will lead Beyon Connect through its next phase of growth as it expands its portfolio of trusted digital solutions and supports digital transformation across Bahrain and the wider region.

Budel brings international leadership experience across digital transformation, digital trust, cloud, cybersecurity and government technology. According to Beyon, his expertise will support the company’s continued focus on digital identity, trusted digital services and secure transformation initiatives.

Richard Budel takes leadership at Beyon Connect

Budel joins Beyon Connect after holding senior leadership positions across the technology sector. Previously, he served in executive roles spanning digital transformation, commercial leadership and public sector technology. Most recently, he became Chief Executive Officer at Beyon Connect. Before that, he held leadership positions at a Web3 startup, Guardtime, Sirius International Holding, Huawei and IBM. As a result, he brings broad international experience across technology and business leadership.

Earlier in his career, he held executive positions at Guardtime, Sirius International Holding, Huawei and IBM. His experience includes leadership in digital government, smart cities, public sector technology, cybersecurity and enterprise transformation.

Focus on digital growth and trusted services

Beyon said Budel’s appointment comes as the company continues expanding its portfolio of trusted digital solutions across Bahrain and the wider region. His background in cloud technology, cybersecurity, digital trust and government technology aligns with Beyon Connect’s focus on supporting digital transformation initiatives.

The company also highlighted Budel’s experience in leading business transformation programmes and building customer partnerships across international markets. According to his professional profile, he has worked on projects involving blockchain, cryptography, public services and enterprise technology while advising organisations on digital transformation.
