Salim Bayoun has been appointed Head of Facultative MENA at Aon Reinsurance Solutions in UAE. Bayoun announced the appointment in a LinkedIn post and said he will lead the company’s facultative business across the Middle East and North Africa.

In his new role, Bayoun will work with clients, insurance markets, and colleagues to strengthen and expand Aon’s facultative solutions across the region. He said the MENA insurance and reinsurance market continues to grow and evolve.

Leadership focus across MENA

Bayoun said he is taking on the role as the regional insurance and reinsurance market undergoes continued growth and transformation. He added that he will focus on expanding Aon’s facultative offering across the region while working closely with clients and reinsurance partners.

He also thanked Amr Sartawi and Hassan Elamin for their support. In addition, Bayoun said he looks forward to working with colleagues across the Treaty and Specialty teams to support growth and deliver solutions for clients and partners.

Executive background

According to Bayoun’s LinkedIn profile, he joined Aon Reinsurance Solutions as Head of Facultative, Middle East and North Africa in April 2026 and is based in Dubai.

Before joining Aon, Bayoun served as Senior Executive Officer and Executive Board Member at Kingdom Brokerage Reinsurance. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Kingdom Brokerage Insurance and Chedid Re.

What the role involves

Bayoun said he will partner with clients, markets and internal teams to strengthen Aon’s facultative reinsurance capabilities across MENA. He also said he will work with Treaty and Specialty teams to support regional growth and create value for clients, colleagues and reinsurance partners.
