Young leaders and entrepreneurs from across the Gulf have gathered in Salalah as the GCC Youth Forum opens its fourth edition. Organised by Oman’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the five day event focuses on digital content, youth initiatives and regional collaboration. It also aims to help participants strengthen planning, leadership and project management skills.
The opening ceremony took place at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsin Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality. Throughout the programme, participants will exchange ideas and learn from successful experiences across GCC countries.
Fourth GCC Youth Forum in Salalah highlights digital content
The GCC Youth Forum places digital content development at the centre of its agenda. Participants are exploring successful practices from across the GCC while learning how content creators can use local identity to produce engaging and influential digital content.
The opening workshop focused on soft power and examined how digital platforms can shape public perception and strengthen cultural influence through creative storytelling.
Youth skills and entrepreneurship take centre stage
The GCC Youth Forum also supports young entrepreneurs by developing practical skills in planning, managing and implementing youth initiatives. Sessions introduce structured approaches that participants can apply in future community and business projects.
In addition, the programme encourages knowledge sharing and helps young people build capabilities that support innovation and leadership across the region.
Regional cooperation encourages shared initiatives
Regional collaboration remains a key priority throughout the GCC Youth Forum. Participants are discussing joint youth initiatives that could be implemented through the GCC Secretariat General while exchanging ideas with peers from across the Gulf.
By bringing together young leaders from different GCC countries, the forum promotes stronger partnerships, practical cooperation and shared learning. Moreover, the five day programme reflects a shared commitment to developing youth capabilities while encouraging innovation across the region.
