According to ONA, the Oman HR Forum opened in Salalah on August 2026, bringing together leaders, HR professionals and specialists to discuss the future of work, employee experience and digital transformation. The event focuses on strengthening human capital and encouraging collaboration between the public and private sectors.

Oman HR Forum discusses Future of Work

The sixth Oman HR Forum began in Salalah under the theme “People First: Impact Starts with People.” The two-day event is held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Marwan Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. Executive leaders, HR experts and specialists from Oman and abroad are taking part in the discussions.

Faisal Hamoud Al Siyabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Omani Society for Human Resource Management, said the forum reflects the belief that people remain the driving force behind institutional success. He added that the society continues to support innovative and sustainable workplaces across the country.

People-First strategy shapes workplace discussions

The programme features a panel discussion titled “How to Bring People Back to the Heart of Institutional Decisions.” Governors from Dhofar, A’Dhahirah and North Al Batinah joined the session to discuss how organisations can align people-focused decision-making with future workplace needs.

The Oman HR Forum also highlights the importance of balancing organisational development with strong leadership and effective human capital strategies.

Experts share insights on Human Capital

Speakers presented working papers on institutional intelligence, resilient leadership, digital transformation and strategic dialogue for the future of work. Other sessions examined human capacity building, the value of human capital and the role of family in protection and empowerment.

These presentations encouraged participants to exchange practical knowledge and explore approaches that support modern workplaces.
