First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), the UAE’s largest lender by assets, has appointed Mansi Jain as Assistant Vice President, strengthening its leadership bench within the credit risk and portfolio reporting function.
Jain has been with FAB for over three years and was previously serving as Specialist – Credit Risk & Portfolio Reporting. In her new role, she will continue to play a critical part in credit risk oversight, loan impairment analysis, and regulatory reporting, with an increased focus on portfolio performance and risk governance.
Expanded leadership responsibilities in risk functions
As Assistant Vice President, Jain will take on enhanced responsibilities across portfolio analytics, risk reporting, and governance frameworks, supporting FAB’s efforts to maintain asset quality and regulatory compliance.
Her role involves close coordination with senior management and group risk teams, ensuring timely insights into credit performance and emerging risk trends. The elevation reflects FAB’s continued emphasis on building strong internal leadership pipelines, particularly within functions central to balance sheet resilience and capital management.
Strong grounding in IFRS 9 and credit analytics
A Chartered Accountant by qualification, Jain brings over five years of experience across credit risk management, IFRS 9 impairment modelling, forecasting, and management information systems.
At FAB, she has worked extensively on expected credit loss (ECL) calculations, integrating macroeconomic variables and scenario-based modelling to assess portfolio sensitivity under different market conditions. She has also contributed to regulatory and audit submissions, supporting transparent reporting and stakeholder requirements.
Experience across global banking portfolios
Prior to joining FAB, Jain was associated with Standard Chartered Bank, where she worked on forecasting and budgeting of loan impairments across consumer, business, and private banking portfolios spanning multiple international markets.
Her responsibilities included performance analysis, variance reporting, and assessment of credit outcomes across geographies. Earlier in her career, she gained hands-on exposure to credit underwriting and appraisal in India, building a strong foundation in retail and corporate credit evaluation.
Elevation aligned with evolving banking risk priorities
Jain’s elevation comes at a time when banks across the UAE and the wider region are sharpening their focus on risk discipline, capital efficiency, and data-driven credit decision-making.
Amid global macroeconomic uncertainty, rising regulatory scrutiny, and increased reliance on forward-looking risk models, leadership depth within credit risk functions has become a strategic priority for lenders.
