Khalil Al Zadjali, Head of Oman at Cavendish Maxwell, has been appointed Vice President of the Valuation Committee at the Oman Real Estate Association (ORA). The appointment places one of the country’s experienced property valuation professionals in a leadership position within the association as Oman continues to expand its real estate sector.
The appointment comes at a time when the Sultanate is experiencing increased activity across residential, commercial and tourism related developments. Economic diversification, updated legislation and major urban development projects are contributing to demand across the property market, creating a greater focus on professional valuation standards and industry collaboration.
Cavendish Maxwell Oman leader takes ORA committee role
Al Zadjali will serve on ORA’s Valuation Committee in a voluntary capacity. Drawing on 23 years of industry experience, he will work with the committee to help strengthen professional standards, improve transparency and contribute to discussions on real estate legislation.
His new responsibilities also include supporting the future development of Oman’s property sector alongside other members of the association’s valuation leadership team. The role reflects continued collaboration between industry professionals and the wider real estate community.
Nick Witty, Group Chief Executive Officer of Cavendish Maxwell, welcomed the appointment and said Al Zadjali’s expertise had earned recognition across the profession.
Building valuation excellence across Oman
Al Zadjali currently serves as Head of Oman at Cavendish Maxwell, where he oversees the company’s operations in Muscat. He manages the firm’s property advisory activities while supporting the expansion of its service lines across the Sultanate.
His professional background includes more than two decades in commercial and residential property valuation, industrial developments, hospitality assets and investment advisory. According to his professional profile, he has led valuation projects while building expertise in commercial real estate investment and transaction execution.
Before joining Cavendish Maxwell in 2017, Al Zadjali spent more than 14 years as Head of Valuations at Hamptons International. Since establishing Cavendish Maxwell’s Oman office, he has overseen services covering residential and commercial valuation, machinery and business asset valuation, strategic consulting, research and project consultancy.
Oman Real Estate association drives industry growth
The Oman Real Estate Association was established in 2012 through Royal Decree to represent the Sultanate’s real estate sector. The association works alongside government entities, including the Oman Ministry of Housing, and serves as a platform for professional development, industry collaboration and knowledge sharing.
With more than 560 members, ORA delivers training programmes, industry events and advisory services while contributing to discussions on real estate legislation. The organisation also aims to strengthen professional practice across the sector through collaboration with public and private stakeholders.
Al Zadjali’s appointment comes as the association continues its work to support the evolving needs of Oman’s property market through industry engagement and professional standards.
Cavendish Maxwell expands property advisory
Cavendish Maxwell opened its Muscat office in 2017 and provides valuation, strategic advisory, research and building consultancy services. The company forms part of a wider Middle East property advisory network with offices across the Gulf region.
As a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the company offers services across residential, commercial and industrial real estate markets. Its regional presence spans Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Kuwait City, Muscat and Riyadh. Commenting on his appointment, Al Zadjali said Oman’s property market continued to attract local, regional and international investors seeking stable returns and long term growth opportunities.
The appointment adds another industry leadership responsibility to Al Zadjali’s role at Cavendish Maxwell while strengthening the connection between the consultancy and the Oman Real Estate Association. It also reflects continued engagement between private sector professionals and organisations working to support the long term development of Oman’s real estate market.
