Royal Philips has appointed Marc Zora as Chief Executive Officer for its Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa (META) region, effective April 1, 2026. The move comes as the company sharpens its focus on scaling healthcare innovation across fast-evolving markets.
A seasoned insider with deep regional expertise
Zora brings over 15 years of experience within Philips. During this time, he has held several leadership roles across the region.
He began his journey in 2011 as an International Key Account Manager. He later became the company’s first General Manager for Qatar. He also served as District Leader for the Gulf & Levant. Most recently, he led Image Guided Therapy across META.
As a result, he has built strong relationships with healthcare providers, government bodies, and regional partners.
Strategic focus: partnerships, access, and patient outcomes
Zora takes charge at a time when healthcare systems across META are undergoing rapid transformation. Demand for advanced technology, better access, and efficient care delivery continues to rise.
Commenting on his appointment, Zora said the region presents both urgency and opportunity. He emphasised that Philips is well-positioned to support healthcare systems through innovation.
He added that his priorities include strengthening partnerships, improving patient outcomes, and expanding access to care. At the same time, he aims to reduce pressure on healthcare professionals.
Philips strengthens long-term commitment to META
Philips has maintained a presence in the region for over 90 years. Over this period, it has partnered with governments and healthcare providers to improve care delivery.
