Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: GEWAN Hotels and Resorts has appointed Moutaz Nazzal as Group Director of Hotel Operations, effective immediately. This appointment strengthens the Group’s focus on operational discipline. Moreover, it ensures service consistency. In addition, it supports sustainable growth across all its hospitality properties.

The appointment supports the company’s strategy to sharpen operational discipline, improve service consistency, and sustain long-term growth across its hospitality portfolio.

Expanded operational mandate across properties

In his new role, Nazzal will oversee hotel operations across all properties. His responsibilities include setting unified operating standards, refining guest experience frameworks, strengthening quality assurance systems, and collaborating with senior leadership to improve overall performance.

Furthermore, he will oversee coordination across all properties. This effort will ensure consistent service delivery. At the same time, it will enhance operational efficiency throughout the Group

Two decades of hospitality leadership

Nazzal brings more than 20 years of experience in hotel operations and senior management. Before joining GEWAN Hotels and Resorts, he developed a strong operational track record at NCT&H Group. In particular, he held senior roles at Danat Hotels & Resorts. As a result, he gained extensive expertise in managing complex hospitality operations.

He played a central role in the pre-opening and launch of a 323-key hotel, where he established operational systems, led workforce mobilisation, and embedded guest experience standards ahead of opening.

Most recently, he served as Hotel General Manager at Capital Suite Hotel Apartments, where he managed end-to-end operations and improved efficiency while maintaining high service standards.

Focus on execution and guest experience

Throughout his career, Nazzal has worked across frontline operations, workforce development, and guest relations. His leadership approach combines structured execution with strong team engagement, both critical in competitive hospitality markets.

His professional journey reflects a clear understanding of operational rigour and the human side of service delivery.

Leadership aligned with growth strategy

Commenting on the appointment, Moutaz Nazzal said he looks forward to working with GEWAN Hotels and Resorts teams to enhance service standards and operational performance as the Group continues its expansion.

His responsibilities will also include standardising operating procedures, strengthening performance monitoring systems, and improving cross-department collaboration.
